Many of you know me as Christina Broad, I have had many nicknames over the years, but one has stuck for the last three years that I feel is worth keeping. When I moved to Tucson I quickly became re-named Snow, because I was from "where it snows!" Original I know, but the nickname stuck and I choose to embrace it!

Having said that, that explains the first part of the name of my own business I am working to start up! The other half, for many of you that know me well, already get it. I enjoy words, I enjoy being "punny" so I decided that my business is like a truck stop for Pit Bulls! These dogs will come into my home for some food, rest, a shower, and to get whatever else they may need before going on their way to their forever home! That is how I decided to name my business Snow's Pit Stop!

I know many of you have not really talked to me since High School or might not even know me in person yet, but that is alright! This mission is not about myself or anyone else, this is solely about getting abused, neglected, harmless animals to a better home or into their first home! I have three Pit mixes myself, two were rescued and one was given to me by a friend of a mutual friend. They are my world and I want nothing but to help other Pits like them find the love they have! If you know a Pit that needs attention or rescued, for whatever reason, even if it is simply the owner cannot afford the dog anymore bring them to me! I can foster a dog until I find them a forever home!

For now the business phone number is (614)318-5927 and is subject to change to a Michigan phone number. Do not feel that because I live in Michigan and you live somewhere else that we cannot make this work. I am between Saginaw, Michigan and Columbus, Ohio at least once a month and I am always willing to meet half way if a small contribution can be made to aid in gas or food for the dog, etc. I have the time and ability to make a difference, so please do not hesitate to call even if you need to figure out if a dog should be rescued from a neighbor or stranger. Keep your eyes and hearts open!

Lastly, since I am just starting up and am still trying to figure out how to find dogs that need rescued other ways than just word of mouth, spread the word! Let people in your life know I am out here, pass along this page or my phone number, anything to get the word out there to help these animals! I am also willing to take any donations of old dog beds, toys, cages, food, blankets, etc anything so that when I start getting more dogs I can take proper care of them during their stay with me! Please and thank you everyone for your time and any assistance you offer, even if it is just getting my name out there so people know there is a safe place for Pits!
